Hibiscus was a very shy baby chameleon. Ever since he was a baby, he'd turned the color of wherever he was sitting to hide from strangers.
One day, Hortência, a baby chameleon, went to play on the swing and heard a cry:
“Hey, I'm here,” Hibiscus said shyly.
– Sorry, I didn't see you. Let's play?
- Now I can't, my mother is calling me.
Hibiscus wanted to play with Hortência, but he was shy and whenever she arrived the chameleon would camouflage itself, turning the color of the foliage.
One day, when he arrived at the playground, Hortência called:
- Hibiscus, show up, I know you're there.
– Hi, Hortense, how did you know?
- I always feel your presence, but I don't want to bother you.
- Sorry, I'm very ashamed.
– I'm also ashamed of those I don't know, but I know you're Hibiscus, you're a cool chameleon and you come to play at the playground every day.
Hibiscus smiled and, since that day, he gained a great friend and became a little less shy.
