NAME:

Read:

How does the spider build the web?

The spider fixes a bead on a support, by means of a viscous liquid that is secreted by glands located under its abdomen and that hardens when in contact with the air. Weaves yarn into spokes and then into a spiral, wound from the center outwards. Finally, it goes the opposite way, in order to make a thin closed and adherent spiral, destroying the first, of which only the first central spirals are preserved, which ensure the rigidity of the set. The spider is attached to the web by a thread, and when an insect falls into the trap, it perceives it by vibration.
