1) Raquel thought and wrote a number in her notebook. On the next line, she wrote an addition of two numbers whose sum was the number on the previous line. In the next line, she replaced these two numbers, respectively, with a multiplication of three other numbers and a division of the square of one number by the double of another, respectively. On the next line, she replaced the first number from the previous line with a subtraction and the second with an addition. So she got a numerical expression, knowing its value in advance. See the procedure below:
18,6 =
= 4,2 + 14,4
= 2.3.0,7 +122 :2.5
= (10,31-8,31). (2,6 +0,4) .0,7 +122÷ (2.5)
a) Invent an expression with five different operations and exchange it with a colleague, without them knowing the number you initially thought of. Each must solve the expression invented by the other. Then just change the expressions and correct them.
b) Mentally calculate the value of Rachel's expression.
2.Calculate the value of the expressions below:
a) (4 - 1.6 ∙ 0.2): 0.8
A.
b) (2 -1.6)2 + (0,3 + 0,5)2
A.
c) (5 - 4.4)3: (0,1)2
A.
d) 4.4:0.01 - 400
A.
e) (6.4 - 1.25 ∙ 4): 0.5
A.
f) 2 - 0.6:4
A.
3) Given to =(1.2⁄ 0.5)2 and b = (1.2. 0,5)2, calculate the value of a +b.
A.
4) Look at the offers at the market where Mara will buy 3 liters of milk, 4 packets of biscuits, 3 jars of yogurt and 1/4 kilogram of olives.
a) With R$ 25.00, was Mara able to make the purchase?
A.
b) If Mara buys 3 packages of biscuits, will the purchase price decrease?
A.
c) If the money is not enough, eliminate the cheapest product and calculate the change.
A.
5) At the store “Vem Quem Quero” which is a distributor of ping-pong balls, there is the following price table:
When choosing to buy a hundred balls, how much would Pedro save per unit, compared to buying five dozen of the product?
