They can measure between 42 and 80 cm in length between head and body, with the tail measuring from 30 to 51 cm. They can weigh up to 5 kg. It has a more rounded head than other cats and surprisingly large eyes. Relative to its size, its tail is longer than that of other wild cats and can be effective for balance and as a counterweight for jumping. Its claws are also larger, helping to grasp trunks and branches.
