I was very moved when I finished reading the book. Mandela, the African of all colors, written by Alain Serres. The story of the leader who fought against the racist policy known as Apartheid in South Africa is tearful!
He was born on July 18, 1918. His parents called him Rolihlahla, but he had to adopt a different name when he entered the school. Nelson Mandela believed in humanitarian and equality values: his dream was that peoples of all colors would live together in harmony.
For defending these ideals, he was imprisoned for 27 years. After his release, he became the country's first black president in 1994.
It is worth knowing other details of this great man's life.
