The word dengue it is of Spanish origin and means “squeaky”, “manha”. The name refers to the state of softness and prostration that the person is infected with arbovirus.
Dengue is an infectious disease caused by an arbovirus […], which occurs mainly in tropical and subtropical areas of the world, including Brazil. Epidemics usually occur in the summer, during or immediately after rainy periods.
Dengue starts suddenly and there may be high fever, headache, pain behind the eyes, back pain. Sometimes red spots appear on the body.
The best way to avoid dengue is to fight the water accumulation foci, places that are conducive to the creation of the mosquito that transmits the disease.
