NAME:
A donkey was being led down a road, which led down the mountainside, when suddenly it decided to choose its own path. He could see his bay at the foot of the mountain, and to him the quickest way down seemed to be over the edge of the nearest cliff. When he was about to jump, his master grabbed him by the tail and tried to pull him back, but the stubborn donkey didn't give in and pulled with all his might.
- Very well - said his master - go your way, you obstinate animal, and see where it takes you.
With that he let go and the donkey, foolishly, fell upside down on the mountainside.
Moral of the story: Those who do not listen to reason, but stubbornly go their own way, are in the way of misfortune.
