Gaucho beat Uzbek Shakhram Akhadov in the lightweight final
Judoka from Rio Grande do Sul, 25 years old, Daniell Cargnin, closed the last competition of the 2022 season with gold. This Wednesday, he won the gold medal at the World Masters, the second most important competition on the world circuit. Cargnin overcame the Uzbek Shakhram Akhadov in the men's final of 73 kilos (lightweight), and broke the fast of ten years without champions at the World Masters – the last men's gold was Rafael Silva or Baby in the 2012 edition, in Almaty (Kazakhstan). The podium was the first in Brazil in the dispute in Jerusalem (Israel), which ends this Thursday (22), and has broadcast live on the Brazilian Olympic Channel and on the website of the International Judo Federation (IJF, acronym in English).
