You know how the jaguar (panthera onca) do to communicate? A study revealed that the largest feline in the Americas “recognizes” its relatives, through a common characteristic: light-colored spots that appear behind the ears and on the tail of the felines. Through these marks, they identify themselves and “talk” to each other, giving warnings about possible threats, breeding season, among other situations related to survival in the wild.
