The Margay (Leopardus wiedii) is a Brazilian feline. It weighs around 3 kg and has a very long tail, which can represent up to 40% of its body length. It is present in all biomes in Brazil. However, it does not use grassy environments, and its occurrence is restricted to forest habitats.
It is a feline well adapted to life in the treetops: it has very large and protruding eyes, in addition to legs with flexible joints that allow it to rotate up to 180 degrees. This trait gives him the rare ability among cats to climb down from a tree upside down.
