The red-bellied surucuá

The red-bellied surucuá can measure up to 25 centimeters in length and is found in most regions of Brazil. In addition to the reddish belly, the habits as a predator give it another name. Looking for caterpillars, cicadas, beetles and spiders, the bird can remain static for a long time on the prowl, which is why it is nicknamed “sleeper”.
