William Shakespeare was a great author and wrote several plays in the 15th century. Between love and revenge stories, he wrote The merchant of Venice, a book with a dash of love and lots of friendship.
The work tells the story of two friends, Antônio and Bassânio. Bassanio is in love with a rich girl named Portia, who lives in another city. Without money, he can't go there and ask for the girl's hand in marriage. So, Antônio decides to help, but he gets into trouble.
He asks Shylock, a corrupt moneylender, who wants to collect Antonio's debt with something more valuable than money, for money. […]
