the lone rat

The rat Celo had lived in the basement of an abandoned theater for many years. Despite enjoying living alone, sometimes the mouse missed someone to talk to. When he went outside in search of food, Celo talked to other rats he found.
- How are things? Any news? - He asked another mouse.
- Yea! They're saying there's a really weird cat out there. Be careful, Celo – said the Rat.
Celo went back to the cellar, but he didn't worry, as it was difficult for another animal to get in there. Days passed and Celo noticed that someone was stealing his cheese. He hid to catch the thief.

Celo was surprised when he caught the cat eating the cheese, the mouse plucked up courage and went to talk to him.
“I know you don't like rats, but you can drop my cheese,” Celo said.
– I found a friend, yup! Rest assured, I just want shelter - said the cat.
As he was already tired of living alone, Celo let the cat live in the basement and they became great friends.
