According to Stockton Police Department Chief Stanley McFadden, the arrest of the suspect in the serial murders came just in time. That's because, according to police authority, Wesley was preparing to commit another murder.
Police point out that Brownlee, 43, is linked to the deaths of six people in 2022. Men ranging in age from 21 to 54 were murdered, and police believe Wesley is responsible for the crimes. On Saturday, the prosecution indicted the suspect for the murders.
With the aim of furthering the suspect's capture, the police surveillance team followed Brownlee as he drove a car around Village Green Drive and Winslow Avenue, Stockton areas, around 2am Saturday morning (15).
For this reason, the police believe that Wesley was looking for the next victim, on a true mission to kill. Even when the police contacted Brownlee, it was verified that the suspect was wearing dark clothes, a mask around his neck and was carrying a firearm.
After the arrest of Wesley in a suspicious movement, which appeared to be a hunting mission to kill, the police authorities are clear in stating that other charges must also weigh on the alleged serial killer
The victims, whose authorship of the murders is attributed to Wesley, have been identified. The crimes took place between July and September 2022, with the last one taking place on September 27.
O modus operandi of the suspect is to attack the victims while they are alone and then shoot them dead with firearms. The common characteristic among all the deaths is the fact that they occurred at night or in the early hours of the day.
Police still do not know the motive for the murders, but believe there is no apparent reason. Another case is under investigation to point out whether Wesley is also responsible for the attempted murder of a 46-year-old woman in April 2021.
