Read this text that tells us about the book Dudley collects everything, written by Sheila Kaplan:
How about knowing more about recycling with 'Duda picks up everything'?
In the beginning everything was very strange. Duda's mother, the main character in this story, used to fight a lot with the boy, who was always collecting garbage. She was a can, a broom handle, a bottle cap… Why gather so much stuff, my son?
But inside the garage at home, all this and many other things that are considered garbage were turned into toys. Broken umbrella handle, for example, in the boy's hands, became a weapon against dragons. And that was pretty cool.
Even so, with so much scolding from her mother, Duda began to lose heart. Until the day the teacher taught a class about recycling and reusing garbage: then, yes, everything started to make sense in the boy's head. That's what he did! Did the boy tell the teacher about the treasures he had in the garage and do you know what happened? Surprise!
