The Special Issue Ballooning will be launched by Correios this Saturday (10/11) in the city of Boituva, in São Paulo, where the Skydiving and Ballooning Center, the largest in America, is located. Latin.
Composed of a block with a seal, the issue was created by artist Daniel Lourenço, who used an aesthetic vintage, portraying an image of dream, play and fantasy.
Ballooning is an aeronautical sport practiced with a hot air balloon. Its history began with the Montgolfier brothers in 1783 in France. They performed the first test with a manned balloon, which was a success and seen by almost the entire population of Paris.
In Brazil, Ballooning is segmented into three modalities: Tourist, Promotional and Competitive. In 2018, the 31st Brazilian Ballooning Championship took place in the competitive modality, held annually in a city in the country, which sponsors and receives athletes. The face value of the stamp is R$4.25 and the print run is 50 thousand blocks.
