Secret of youth? Researchers reveal how to reverse…

Why are protocols against Covid-19 no longer mandatory?

State and municipal measures against Covid-19 have been loosened across the country. Such releases occurred after the bed occupancy rates suffered a drastic drop, especially after the widespread vaccination of the population in 2021.

The new data also influenced social distancing recommendations, thus allowing the resumption of large shows, festivals and parties in several Brazilian states. Even cities that have adhered to the strictest precautions against the coronavirus have also announced reversals of security measures.

How to control anxiety symptoms caused by loosening security measures?

For those who may feel nervous or anxious as everyday life returns to something more like with the “old normal”, there are some precautions that can be taken and actions that help reduce the stress. Check out!

  • Identify your personal comfort level

Start by assessing your feelings around the changes taking place and seeing whether or not you are truly ready to stop wearing masks or frequenting crowded spaces. You also need to give yourself time to adjust to this movement back.

  • Get back to your “normal” routine gradually

The most recommended thing is to take it easy and gradually return to the routine. This way you will be able to adapt better to the non-obligation of security protocols, than changing all at once. Also, finding a partner, be it a friend, family member, or spouse, to help you take these steps can make the process easier.

  • Get rid of anxious thoughts

Identify anxiety-influenced thoughts and dismiss them. This technique is common and often used during meditation exercises. Also, try to challenge these thoughts instead of just accepting them.

  • Pay attention to reliable sources of information

Information overload can also contribute to pandemic anxiety. Therefore, it is important to consume only reliable, safe and responsible sources. With that, do not listen to those who work with chaos and widespread agony.
