It is possible to have a renewed smile

A smile is definitely the most positive of bodily signals anyone can send, especially one that is authentic, confident, and timely. One of the great challenges of dentistry is the rehabilitation of the jaws, since the prolonged use of complete dentures (dentures) causes these patients to have great bone loss, resulting in an uncomfortable feeling of constant insecurity. This prevents them from having a normal and healthy social life.

A new technique has been gaining adherents in dental offices: it is the immediate load implant. This procedure emerged through studies carried out in Sweden a few years ago.

Currently, the immediate load implant is the ideal solution for those who have lost one or more teeth, requiring only that the professional is as accurate as possible in the diagnosis and planning, and masters the technique. The greatest expectation is fulfilled by the aesthetic and functional result, even increasing the patient's self-esteem.

How it works

In immediate loading implants, the dentist makes an incision in the gums and installs a titanium screw in the bone region, to which an external pillar that will support the crown is fixed. In most cases, the patient can leave on the same day with the treatment completed.

Indications

Immediate implant treatment is also indicated for patients who wear dentures, for those who have lost one or more teeth, and for those who are not satisfied with their smile.

“Jornal Vidaqui”, 29 Sept. to 12 Oct. 2006, p.11.
