CHAMELEON is the generic name for some members of the large lizard family. Chameleontidae. The chameleon has the ability to change color, less in function of the color of the environment, but in response to emotional stimuli. The common chameleon is generally grayish-green, with numerous dark spots on both sides of the body. At normal temperatures and in the dark, its color turns to cream with irregular yellow spots. But when exposed to strong sunlight, the chameleon's entire body darkens. It usually turns green at high temperatures, away from the sun's rays; at low temperatures it turns gray. When agitated or fearful, it has light shadows with brown and yellow spots; when angry, the lighter areas of your body darken.
