Where does the name come from?

Weeds reach the branches of plants by flying, or rather, hitchhiking with the birds. It's just that birds eat the berries of mistletoe when they land on other trees. After some time, the ingested seeds are eliminated by feces or regurgitated - vomited (

gh!). Most interestingly, the mistletoe seeds are wrapped in mistletoe, a sticky sticky substance like gum, allowing them to stick tightly to the branches of the plants. Only seeds that manage to attach to the branch of a host plant, such as a mango tree, will succeed. develop until reaching adulthood and generate other mistletoe fruits that can be eaten by birds.

You can also find mistletoe on wires and clotheslines. This is because these plants are able to germinate on non-living surfaces. But you must be wary that they will not become a new plant because they will have nowhere to suck nutrients.
