Hot news is coming in new update of Whatsapp. Among them, there is a new feature that is currently in the testing phase, commonly called “video messages”.
This feature allows you to send short videos of up to 60 seconds within the chat app. For now, the functionality is only available to some beta testers using version 23.12.0.71 for iPhone (iOS) and 2.23.13.4 for Android.

With this, users will be able to send videos in a similar way to sending audios, just pressing the button for a few seconds to record.
The goal is to speed up communication between contacts, offering an alternative for those who don't want to send audio or write a text on the platform. Video messages can only be recorded in real time, which ensures greater authenticity to the content.
In addition, this tool provides a sense of immediacy to the conversation, eliminating the need to search for a file on the cell phone and only then send it to a contact.
It is worth mentioning that the video messages will also be end-to-end encrypted, ensuring that only conversation participants can access them, as already happens in text messages typed.
It is also important to note that, initially, this type of video cannot be forwarded directly via WhatsApp.
However, there is a possibility to save it by recording your mobile screen as it is not uploaded using single view mode.
To test the video message feature, just update the app to the Beta version. Then the user can press the microphone button in the conversation bar, which will change into a camera icon.
From there, just record the video and send it. Upon receiving this type of message, the recipient needs to tap once on the video to zoom in and hear the audio.
A lot of people don't know, but with the latest WhatsApp updates, users now have the option to edit the messages of text that were sent in the last 15 minutes.
Editing time is significantly less compared to message deletion option which is available for up to 48 hours.
From now on, it is possible to correct misspelled words or even completely change the context of the message within this initial period. The reader will see an “edited message” notice, so the recipient is aware that the text has been changed.
This update has not yet been made available to all users and, according to the developers, the option will be released gradually.
Check your smartphone's app store and make sure WhatsApp is on the latest version. If you still don't have access to the feature even after updating, you'll need to wait for the next releases.
