Those who run barefoot run healthier. This is what American researchers at the University of Virginia claim. They found that sports shoes can be more harmful to joints than shoes. jogging without shoes.
Scientists tested 68 athletes on a treadmill: with and without shoes. And they found a greater effort in the joints of the hips, knees, and feet in the volunteers who did the exercise wearing shoes. According to the data, the strain on the joints was even greater than the stress caused by high-heeled shoes. On average, the hips of sportsmen wearing shoes were 54% more overloaded than that of barefooted ones, while the pressure on the knee was between 36% and 38%.
