If you are interested in jobs in Portugal, know that from now on it will be easier for Brazilians to enter the European country. It will be easier to enter Portugal

Recently, some changes responsible for facilitating the request for Portuguese nationality were put into practice, as well as the creation of a proposal for a new work visa for Brazilian citizens. In this sense, the current Portuguese president, Marcelo Rebele, informed that the special permission for making it possible for Brazilians to enter the Portuguese labor market should soon be available.

Increased duration of temporary visa

On the 15th of June, the Council of Ministers of Portugal decided to approve a project aimed at changing the

Foreigners Law. The good news is that this project has a great chance of approval, being of great interest to us Brazilians.

There is an objective to make some rules more flexible in order to reduce bureaucracies around the temporary visa. Therefore, the immigrant's stay would increase to 120 days, with the possibility of extension for another 60 days, which would be valid for those who do not travel with a student pass or permanent job.

According to the new law, those who have children and close family members can take them along with them. This is especially important, since until then it was not possible, only if the immigrant had already obtained citizenship, which is usually acquired by marrying a native.

In this way, the new measures will provide less bureaucracy and benefit foreigners, as they also consider their family well-being. However, as it is still a bill, it is not possible to estimate whether it will take time to be implemented or not.

The biggest job opportunities for Brazilians in the Portuguese country

For those who have technical training or higher education and intend to look for a job in Portugal, the most promising options are in Marketing, Human Resources, Sales, Information Technology, Health and Aesthetics, Civil Construction, Logistics and Finance.
