Basically, there are two benefits that guarantee to add value to the Auxílio Brasil for students from families assisted by the social program. However, before explaining the criteria, it is important to be aware that this additional amount is transferred in monthly installments, on the same calendar as the Auxílio Brasil.
According to the program rules, an additional monthly fee of 100 reais is deposited with the regular payment of the benefit. To receive this amount, students from enrolled families must meet the requirements for the benefits of the Scholar Sports Allowance or Junior Scientific Initiation Scholarship.
Seeking to encourage children and young people between 12 and 17 years old, this complementary benefit was developed. The idea is that these students are fully committed to the sport and, if they stand out in internal competitions, they can earn extra money, as long as they are recognized by the MEC.
Thus, someone between the first and second place can receive only a single installment of 1000 reais, or divide it and receive it in 12 installments of 100 reais every month.
The Junior Scientific Initiation Scholarship was created with the purpose of supporting the scientific development of students. In this way, the scholarship is passed on to those who are members of families registered with Auxílio Brasil and have obtained good results in academic contests.
For these competitions, knowledge assessments in various forms are accepted, as well as fairs and Olympics, approved by the Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation. As in the sports section, additional installments of 1000 reais are also available, or divide and receive in 12 installments of 100 reais every month.
