Tai Chi Chuan was based on nature, observing animals. Although its roots are in ancient China, the practice is also suitable for Westerners. The practice can give those who live at the fast pace of urban cities a compensating factor in their lives. It is composed of circular movements, concomitant with breathing, which will relax the body as they are performed, without the use of physical force. The learned sequences of the movements are continuous, gentle and circular, developing the body's stretch and activating the practitioner's circulation, in addition to relaxing the muscles. Practice relaxes the mind as well as the body. It aids digestion, calms the nervous system, is beneficial for the heart and blood circulation, makes joints flexible and rejuvenates the skin.
