NAME:

the spring of the squirrels

Daddy Squirrel was the first to come out of his long winter sleep – hibernation.
– It's spring! he yelled. – Open the door and let her in!
The cub squirrel looked around for something:
– Where's the key to the door?
Nobody knew.
– Dad squirrel wore it last, when he locked it in early winter! - Grandma squirrel said.
“That's right,” he agrees. – But then, who gave it to?
Clementino cub squirrel notes:

- We always had annoyances with the key. Last year he was on the key board. Last spring he was outside, in the lock… I wouldn't be surprised if this year he was in the flower box.
And, with a steady hand, he took the key from among the primroses. – Check it out! – Daddy squirrel Clement stutters. – How did you find out so quickly?
“It was easy,” Clementino said. – Primroses are also called spring, and that must be where the keys are at this time!
