THIS is the best time of day to drink coffee, according to scientists

that the coffee is one of the most loved drinks in the world, it's not news to anyone. No wonder this product became known as “green gold” a few centuries ago, when it began to be cultivated on a large scale all over the world.

In addition to its peculiar taste, the drink has proven benefits, such as the power to “energize” the brain, giving consumers more disposition and vigor.

However, coffee can also be very beneficial to health, providing natural antioxidants and serving as a fighter against serious diseases such as type 2 diabetes and even some types of cancer.

However, excessive coffee consumption or at the wrong time can have negative consequences for the human body, such as sleep loss and increased stress levels.

For this reason, a recently released study recommends a few “right” hours to drink coffee without harming yourself with it.

Why is it necessary to have a right time to drink coffee?

In line with what we have already mentioned, the study carried out by the Geisel School of Medicine, at Dartmouth College, in New Hampshire, in the United States, informs us that drinking coffee at the wrong time can stimulate the production of cortisol, the hormone of stress.

Neuroscientist Steven L. Miller, the researcher who led the study, says that consuming coffee at times considered inopportune can contribute to the brain being “on” for longer than it should.

With that, the many benefits brought by the drink can be overshadowed by the increase of stress and the heightened state of attention.

So what is the right time to drink coffee?

Still according to the study, the right time to drink coffee is when cortisol levels in the brain are low.

In other words, the ideal time to consume the drink is always 1:30 or 2 hours after waking up. See these examples:

  • If you wake up at 7am, you should have breakfast between 8:30am and 9am;
  • If you wake up at 9am, you should have breakfast between 10:30am and 11am, and so on.

In addition, researchers also recommend that the maximum amount of coffee consumed per day is three cups of tea.

In addition, it is also recommended that the user maintain intervals of 1h30 to 2h between cups.

That is, if you have a cup of coffee at 9 am, you should only drink the next one between 10:30 am and 11 am at the earliest.

Finally, the study points out that the ideal is not to drink coffee after sunset, as this can impair the night's sleep.

These tips may even seem a little difficult to follow, especially for those who are passionate about coffee. However, experts guarantee that maintaining discipline in coffee consumption makes all the difference in quality of life.
