Check the minimum wage changes for the year 2023

On July 12, Congress approved the change in the value of the minimum wage, therefore, the forecast is for an increase from R$ 1,212 to R$ 1,294. With this change in the salary floor, people who receive social benefits will have readjustments in the values next year. The Budget Guidelines Law, known as the LDO, established an increase of 6.77% over the current value. The change will lead to changes in benefits such as unemployment insurance, salary bonus, and the Continuous Cash Benefit (BPC).

Workers who meet the required requirements and earn up to R$ 2,588 will be able to benefit from the allowance. Like New minimum wage, the amount that will be offered to the beneficiaries may vary between R$ 107.00 and R$ 1,294.00, which will depend on the months worked.

The BPC (Continued Provision Benefit) will also have some changes for the next year of 2023, such as, for example, the per capita income of the beneficiaries in 2023 should be between R$ 323 and R$ 647.

The unemployment insurance floor will be R$ 1,294, however, this will depend on the average salary of the last three months that were worked before being dismissed, and the amount cannot be less than the salary Minimum. The ceiling for this benefit will be announced by the Federal Government very soon.

In the year 2023, low-income families registered in the Cadastro Único will also have to have a per capita income of BRL 647.00 or a family income totaling BRL 3,882 to be able to receive the benefits offered by the government of Brazil.
