The new feature is still in the testing phase, so it's not available to everyone yet, but it is available to some testers. However, there is a strong possibility that this function is gradually being released to testers and users. The app version that contains the tool is beta 22.23.77 and is only available to some people.
In the current version of the application, people have a double duty when forwarding a message. This is because, in addition to forwarding, they need to go to the chat window to give context to what was sent. In this way, the new resource arrives to facilitate this action, since, with the possibility of adding subtitles, it will no longer be necessary to enter the conversation to explain the message.
The feature, when available, appears in text box format when selecting the recipient for that forwarded message. In addition, you will also be able to add emojis in the caption of the message you want to forward.
There is still no prediction of when this new function will be available, however, as it is a simple change, it is possible that it will not take long for its release.
In addition to captions in messages, there's more news coming! Already released outside Brazil, the new function of “communities” will arrive here in the country in 2023. Meta did not release such a resource this year in Brazil due to the elections.
This function is being eagerly awaited by Brazilians, as it allows the union of WhatsApp groups, which can now have 1,024 users.
And the news is not over yet! In 2023, it will also be possible to make video calls with up to 32 people and send files of up to 2GB. Amazing, huh?
