One of the great challenges of the architect is to reconcile aesthetics and functionality in his projects. That is, when one of these prerequisites is missing, the architectural flaws. However, these failures, in addition to harming the harmony of the environment, can cause accidents and various other damages to the customer.

Now check out some architectural flaws that will make you more aware when it comes to preparing a project or choosing a professional:
1. InTempo – Skyscraper, Spain
A 47-story apartment block in Benidorm, Spain, was never completed. The flaw with this building was that the design engineers forgot to include elevators. That is, it would be impracticable to carry construction materials on the large flights of stairs.
2. The Walkie Talkie, England
Officially named 20 Fenchurch Street, the building was considered a great architectural project – at least until the sun came up.
That's because the building has a curved facade that causes a lot of damage, as it reflects very strong sunlight on the street below. To prove this, it happened that a reporter cooked an egg using only the heat of the building!
3. Vdara Hotel and Spa, USA
Yet another case that leaves people blinded by the light. This curved reflective building has the ability to channel the sun's rays towards the pool area.
In this way, guests even suffer burns due to the increase in temperature when they are in the pool.
4. Dubai Aquarium and Underwater Zoo, UAE
In this case, the idea was great. A water tank with a capacity of 10 million liters was designed in the middle of a mall, with the main intention of housing the collection of the Dubai Aquarium.
The project was going very well until, in 2010, a crack in the glass caused water to spurt through the mall. Therefore, it was necessary to evacuate the site and resort to professional divers to recover the tank.
