500,000 workers did not withdraw PIS/PASEP amounts

According to information provided by the Ministry of Labor and Social Security, around 500,000 workers they have not yet withdrawn the salary bonus named Pis/Pasep, for the year 2020, worth a minimum wage (R$ 1,212). Among the total of 480,000 workers, 125,000 did not withdraw the PIS and 350,000 did not withdraw the PASEP.

This value may vary according to the time the worker remained with a formal contract in 2020. The minimum amount is R$100 and the maximum is one minimum wage.

For those who are entitled to the salary bonus, it has already been deposited since February 8, 2022, according to the payment schedule. However, the deadline was set for December 29, 2022.

It is still possible to verify if the individual has the right to receive it, you just need to have access to the “Carteira de Trabalho Digital” (CTPD Digital) application or the service platform on the Portal Gov.br. However, you will need to meet certain requirements to receive the amount, including:

• Be registered in the PIS/PASEP program, or in the National Register of Social Information (CNIS), at least for 5 years;
• Provided work for contractors who contributed to PIS or PASEP;
• Have earned a maximum of two average monthly minimum wages;
• Have worked for 30 consecutive days;
• Have the correct information provided by the employer in the Annual Social Information List (RAIS) or in the Social for the base year;
• Workers who will not be entitled to receive the benefit are: housemaid; rural workers and urban workers employed by individuals.
