Ford calls out Fusion and Edge car owners for repairs

First, the Ford Ford company calls Fusion and Edge owners for repairs.

Certain versions of Fusion and Edge cars may have serious Air Bag Inflator problems which can be dangerous for the driver.

According to Ford, some versions manufactured between 2006 and 2012 have dangerous flaws. So, since February 2021, the automaker has proposed a recall.

Airbag inflator problems

Therefore, it is necessary to carry out the recall requested by the automaker, for greater driver safety. In the event of a crash, the AirBags will be deployed, but the vehicle's inflator could break, causing a risk to life.

A defect in the inflator may be due to sealing failures and sometimes exposure to moisture, thus causing the part to crack.

This situation occurs in extreme cases and is caused by high internal pressure. As such, such damage will cause metal fragments in the car to fly away or hit the driver's body.
