The National Institute of Social Security (INSS) is a public entity linked to the Ministry of Economy of Brazil. It is the body responsible for paying retirement and other benefits to workers.
Recently, some changes in the country's economy caused readjustments in the amounts offered by the INSS. This readjustment in the INSS value is already scheduled for 2022. Check out the article to find out what changes in the benefit!

This service is directly impacted by the VALUE of the workers' minimum wage. This is because, according to the law, there is no benefit paid by the INSS that may be less than a minimum wage.
Thus, as the 2022 minimum wage will be readjusted by 10.04% in its values, the INSS wage floor will also increase. For those who receive only one minimum wage, the value will go to R$1,210.44.
In the case of beneficiaries who receive more than one, the readjustment will take place based on inflation. The readjustment will be made following the INPC values, the same index used to calculate the change in the minimum wage values.
Thus, the same 10.04% increase in the current amount that beneficiaries receive is expected. However, it is worth noting that this percentage is a projection and the month of December is not yet available, so this calculation may still vary.
However, if this value is confirmed, it will be a record high in the value of the minimum wage and, consequently, in the retirement benefit. However, anyone who thinks that this will give workers more purchasing power is wrong.
After all, the costs of many basic products have risen a lot and this readjustment only serves to match these amounts with the beneficiary's salary.
As payments up to January 7 still relate to December 2021 values, there will be no adjustment until that date. Thus, payments from the January 2022 payroll will undergo this change and will begin to be paid on 01/25.
