This year, the new system for proof of life for beneficiaries of the Institute begins to be valid. Policyholders will not need to carry out proof of life, as the system will resolve automatically. The update will rely on data from municipal, state and federal bodies, in addition to collecting data from the Superior Electoral Court (TSE) to ensure that the insured person is alive.
Before, the beneficiary needed to appear in person at a bank agency to take the test, which will no longer be necessary from this year onwards.
Now, it is under the full responsibility of the INSS to locate the insured person and prove that he is alive. Vaccination from the SUS (Unified Health System), renewal of documents, issuing of passports and data from other systems already mentioned will count as a record.
In a note, the INSS released how the tests will be done. “This work will be done by consulting information available in government databases, such as: SUS, DMV, the Superior Electoral Court (TSE), the Federal Revenue Service and the INSS itself”, he informed.
If the insured person at the Institute is not located in these data, he may receive a summons from the body for the proof of life to be carried out in the traditional model. If it happens, the announcement will arrive through the “My INSS” application or even by sending letters.
Not being able to locate an insured person is an almost null possibility for the INSS, as the data will be used from different sectors for confirmation. If it happens, the responsibility will be entirely on the Institute.
