Suddenly, the smile faded. We had to learn to smile with our eyes.
Sometimes it's even hard to understand what people say. Half of our face is hidden by a mask!
But this disappearance of the smile is essential to protect us from an invisible danger that has been living among us for months: the new coronavirus.
This is the background of the children's book written by young Luisa Cheib Serra-Negra: “The girl who swallowed the smile”.
The work aims to help children and their families understand the importance of wearing a mask at this time of pandemic.
