Chance (Peter Sellers), a naive man, spends his whole life ______________ in a garden and ________ television, his only contact with the world. He never got into a car, he can't read or write, he doesn't have an identity card, in short: he doesn't officially exist. When his boss dies, he is forced to leave the house he has always lived in and is accidentally run over by his car. Benjamin Rand (Melvyn Douglas), a great tycoon who befriends him and even introduces him to the President (Jack Warden). Interestingly, everything said by Chance or even his silence is considered genius. At the same time, Benjamin's health is critical and Eve Rand (Shirley MacLaine), his wife, falls in love with Chance.
