Most locations showed irregularities in both equipment and fuel composition, with the exception of Mato Grosso and the Federal District.
The authority's move took place after the announcement of the change in Petrobras' pricing policy, on May 16. As of that date, inspection actions were carried out by the ANP, with the support of Procon and other consumer protection bodies.
The action had the participation of other public bodies, such as the Civil Police of São Paulo, the State Police Repression of Crimes Against Consumers in Goiás (Decon-GO) and also with the Institute of Weights and Measures in Paraná (Ipem/PR).
These inspections are the result of an initiative by the National Secretariat for Consumer Protection (Senacon) when moving the National Effort for the Fair Price of Fuels.
The objective of these joint actions was to verify possible irregularities at fuel stations and distributors, aiming to guarantee transparency and protection for consumers.
It is important to emphasize that consumers have the right to denounce irregularities in the fuel market, as well as any and all products.
These complaints can be made directly to the official reporting websiteor by calling 0800 970 0267, which offers completely free calls.
Establishments fined by the ANP are vulnerable to paying BRL 5,000 or BRL 5 million for failing to comply with what was guaranteed in the legislation.
Irregularities were found in 12 federative units. In the northeast: Ceará, Alagoas and Bahia; To the north: Amazonas and Pará; Southeast: Rio de Janeiro, Minas Gerais and São Paulo; To the south: Rio Grande do Sul, Santa Catarina and Paraná; Midwest: irregularities were found in Goiás.
Of the 14 analyzed federative units, only Mato Grosso and the Federal District did not present intercurrences.
