When the day is very busy and your head is full of thoughts and worries, take a five-minute break to observe yourself. You can close your eyes and feel the chair you are sitting in, the environment around you, the temperature, the sensations in your body. Then direct your attention, very gently, to the area of your feet, so that you feel them firmly on the floor. If __________, take off your shoes and experience this direct feeling with the floor. The intention is for your entire focus to be on this region, even if only for a few moments, without judgment. You will see how this technique can help the mind become more stable, less dispersed.
