In Israel, in 1978, researchers found the first fossil record of the affective relationship between dogs and people: the skeleton of a human being with his hand on the skeleton of a puppy. This fossil was dated 12,000 years ago and the most interesting aspect of this finding is that the dog's body was whole, which means that it was not there serving as food for the human.
In many cultures, people are buried with "what" they want to take to the afterlife and, by this, the researchers believe that the person, who was a woman, was buried along with her puppy.
