The emergency benefit for taxi drivers begins to be paid next Tuesday, the 16th. The program was developed by the Federal Government with the purpose of transferring up to R$2 billion to reduce the impacts caused by the increase in fuel prices. The second round of registration of drivers by the city hall began on the 5th of August and runs until the 15th of this month. At theFederal Government website, it is possible to see the list of municipalities who have already sent the list of taxi drivers so far.
Aconcierge of the Government establishing the benefit listed the criteria for receiving the aid. Are they:
Once with the correct documentation, the taxi driver does not need to take any action to receive the value, because the city hall itself will forward the registration to the Ministry of Labor and Social Security. If the driver has any questions, just contact the city hall to find out about the registration. Dataprev will be responsible for selecting drivers able to receive the amounts. This means that the mere referral of the list of drivers is not enough to have access to the money paid for the aid.
The first installment will be paid in two stages. On August 16, the Government will release the values for the months of July and August, in installments of up to R$1,000, for taxi drivers residing in the municipalities where the city halls sent the data until the 2nd of August.
On the 30th of August, the amounts will be paid to taxi drivers in the cities that sent the documentation between the 5th and 15th of August. The last round of registration will start on August 20th and end on September 11th. The payment forecast is for the months of September to December.
