The Amazon is one of the few places on the planet where primitive peoples still live. The dozens of tribes that still exist spread across territories within the forest, maintaining their own customs, languages and cultures. Anthropologists (people who study the evolution of man) believe that there are still unknown primitive peoples, living in regions with difficult access. But this wealth is being destroyed by mining, predatory (destructive) logging and deforestation.
