Free tickets will be available on Fridays, starting at 10 am and upon delivery of a kilo of non-perishable food.
Tickets, which can be purchased directly on the museum's website, will always be dated for the week following the exchange.
Four entries can be reserved per CPF and children up to 5 years old do not need tickets for access. On the holidays of the 7th and 21st, the museum will be operating normally.
Generally, as soon as they are offered, tickets sell out quickly, however, you can get them, in addition to the website, directly at the box office from Tuesday to Sunday, from 11:30 am.
It is important to remember that tickets are available for visitation on the same day subject to availability, and there can be no exchanges in this regard.
Group reservations must always be made for the following month. On the Museu do Ipiranga website it is possible to check availability to make reservations.
The museum reopened on September 6, 2022, welcoming special guests. The following day, Independence Day, it was the turn of public school students and workers who worked on the museum's works to visit the historic site.
On the 8th, the museum was finally reopened to the general public, who were able to contemplate the result of the R$ 211 million invested in restoring the collection and carrying out works. The space and showrooms have greatly increased after the renovation.
The incentive to donate food is part of an action by the administration of the Museu do Ipiranga in partnership with Mesa Brasil Sesc São Paulo.
This program seeks to fight hunger and food waste in Brazil and has been associated with donor companies and social institutions for about 30 years.
Donated food must be deposited at the museum itself, in boxes that are located next to the ticket office. Food such as beans, pasta, rice, sardines, corn, canned peas, tomato sauce, wheat flour and powdered milk can be donated.
The distribution of collected food will include registered social institutions that are from the city of São Paulo and currently served by the program.
These include daycare centers, places for children and young people, shelters, reception centers for homeless people, community centers for the elderly, among others.
