NAME:

Read:

the carp

Japanese carp have the natural ability to grow according to the size of their environment. So, in a small pond, it's usually no more than two or seven centimeters—but it can reach three times that size if placed in a pond.

Likewise, people tend to grow with their surroundings. In this case, however, we are not talking about physical characteristics, but emotional, spiritual and intellectual development.

While the carp is forced, for its own good, to accept the limits of its world, we are free to set the boundaries of our dreams.

If we're a fish bigger than the tank we were raised in, rather than adapting to it, we should seek out the ocean—even if the initial adaptation is uncomfortable and painful.

Think about it. There is an ocean waiting for you.
