Does Santa Claus exist?

Yes. It was inspired by Bishop Nicholas, who lived and pontificated in the city of Myra, Turkey, in the fourth century. Nicolau used to anonymously help anyone who was in financial difficulties. He placed the bag of gold coins to be offered in the chimneys of the houses. He was declared a saint after many _____ miracles were attributed. Its transformation into a Christmas symbol happened in Germany and from there the world went. In the United States, the tradition of the old man with a long beard and red clothes who rides a sleigh pulled by a reindeer gained strength. The Santa Claus figure we know today was the work of cartoonist Thomas Nast, in Harper's Weeklys magazine, in 1881.
