NAME:
Once, during a cold winter's night, a community of ants was dining on some delicious sun-roasted beans. Suddenly, they heard a “knock-knock” at the door. When a soldier ant opened the door, they had a sad sight. It was a locust, which was in a sorry state! He was exhausted and crooked with hunger and had almost lost his joy in life!
– Ah, what will become of me?! – he lamented. – I'm so hungry! Please, dear little ants, wouldn't you share some of your grain with me?
The ants were very sorry for him, but politely said:
– Grasshopper brother, how did you get in this pitiful condition? Didn't you store it during the summer?
And the foolish grasshopper replied:
– Gather food in the summer? Oh no! During the summer, I sang in the sun all day long!
The ants no longer felt sorry for the lazy grasshopper and replied:
– Well then! If you sang all day in summer then you will need to dance all day in winter! – and slammed the door in his face!
