It was Lili's first day at day care. She was so excited! She woke up in a hurry, and because of that, her dear teddy bear fell on the bedroom floor.
How the teddy would like to be able to leave the house with her! Zork the puppy, who was very jealous that Lili spent so much time with the teddy bear, tossed him around and the teddy jumped into Mom's shopping bag! Mom went shopping for groceries and bought so much fruit that an apple pushed the teddy bear out of the shopping bag, straight into a Dumpster! Poor teddy bear! He was sitting inside that Dumpster and yearning for Lili. What a terrible smell the Dumpster had! Just as he was about to bear the stench no longer, a large black bird dove into the Dumpster, grabbed the teddy bear and flew with it to the sky! It was Miro, a blackbird that sang every night in the cherry tree. The teddy bear smiled at him and the Molro Miro carefully placed him in a sunny window.
- Little Bear! At dawn, what are you doing here? Lili whispered to the teddy bear.
The teddy was in Lili's new daycare! She tucked the teddy bear safely into her backpack and took it home that afternoon. The teddy bear never wanted to leave the house again!
