The donkey and the lap dog

He was once a kind farmer who loved his animals. Every night, his little dog would jump into his lap and the farmer would stroke his ears and feed him snacks from his pocket.
For wanting the same loving treatment, a donkey broke free of its halter and began to rear up, imitating the lap dog. The farmer burst out laughing at that hilarious spectacle!

Emboldened that his comic act was being appreciated, the donkey reared up to the farmer and, putting its big paws on his shoulders, tried to climb into his lap. The farmer could not support the weight of the donkey and fell with a crash.
Farmer's hands slapped the dumb donkey for trying to act like a puppy!
