Lavrinhas is a typical and welcoming city in the interior of São Paulo. Located in the Vale do Paraíba region, it is 215 km from São Paulo. Its name comes from having, at the time of Brazil Colony, small gold mines.
With an economy based on agriculture, the city is well known for containing mineral water sources. Inaugurated in 1874 by Dom Pedro II, the train station is one of the main points of the city.
The Church of São João Batista dates back to 1820 and the Sobradão has records of being the place where the first mixed school in Lavrinhas operated.
Its natural beauty provides the city with a great ecotourism potential, very well marked by the crystal clear and icy waters of Cachoeira da Pedreira and the ___________ areas that exist in the County.
