The CDT application, developed to bring together various services related to traffic, now includes the option of requesting a preferential vacancy credential for seniors.
Previously, to obtain this credential, an often time-consuming and uncomfortable process was required, which involved visiting the State Department of Transit (Detran) or local city halls. The application's new functionality eliminates this need, allowing the entire process to be done digitally.
To take advantage of this new facility, users must meet some basic criteria. Firstly, you must be 60 years old or over. In addition, interested parties must have a silver or gold level account on the gov.br platform and keep their National Driver's License (CNH) active in the CDT application.
This innovative service is now available in 17 Brazilian states, including Amazonas, Bahia, Ceará, Goiás, Mato Grosso do Sul, Minas Gerais, Pará, Paraíba, Paraná, Pernambuco, Piauí, Rio de Janeiro, Rio Grande do Norte, Rio Grande do Sul, Rondônia, Santa Catarina and São Paul.
It is important that users check whether the local transit agency in their city has joined the service, as only in these locations can the credential be obtained through the CDT.
The process for requesting the credential is simple and intuitive, consisting of five basic steps.
1. Download the application: The first step is to download the CDT app, available both on the App Store for iOS users and on the Play Store for Android users.
2. Membership check: Before starting the process, it is necessary to check whether the local transit agency is integrated with the application service.
3. Credential request: Within the application, the user must select the “Preferred Vacancy Credential” option and fill in the requested information, such as full name, CPF and date of birth.
4. Validation: After filling in the information, the application will forward the request for validation by the responsible transit agency.
5. Credential printing: Once approved, the credential will be available for printing. The user must print and attach the credential to the vehicle dashboard.
