The People's Choice Awards nominees were announced today. The projects of MCU yielded 21 nominations for Marvel. MCU series and movies swept nearly every category they were eligible for.

After the pandemic closed theaters, shortly before the start of phase 4 of the cinematic universe, Black Widow was the first film to be made available on digital media. However, in 2021, Marvel came back in full force.
Marvel dominated the box office, with Black Widow and Shang-Chi breaking profit records. They are also among the top 10 most watched films worldwide at 7th and 8th place. On Disney+, Marvel has also released a string of hit shows. It all started with WandaVision in January of this year. The series was followed by Falcon and the Winter Soldier and Loki. Hawkeye is set to debut on Disney+ in November.
Black Widow, Shang-Chi, Loki, WandaVision, and Falcon and the Winter Soldier all landed PCA nominations. Some Marvel series, like WandaVision and Loki, received four nominations each. Marvel swept the list with 21 overall nominations.
Loki's four nominations include "Show of 2021, Bingeworthy Show and Sci-Fi/Fantasy Show". There is also a "Best Actor" nomination for Tom Hiddleston, who has reprized the role he played since 2011.
WandaVision was also nominated for “Show of 2021 and Sci-Fi/Fantasy Show”. there is also
nominations for Elizabeth Olsen in the Best Actress category. She plays Wanda Maximoff, the Scarlet Witch. Kathryn Hahn was also nominated for her role as Agatha Harkness.
Falcon and the Winter Soldier round out the Disney+ nominations with “Sci-Fi/Fantasy Show” and a nomination for actor Anthony Mackie.
On the cinematic front, Black Widow and Shang-Chi were nominated for Best Film of 2021 and Action Film of 2021. Black Widow stars Florence Pugh and Scarlett Johanssen, who played sisters Natasha and Yelena. Both received nominations.
Shang-Chi's Simu Liu was also nominated for his role in the MCU. This is good news for the huge list of sequels, spinoffs, and renewals already in the works at Marvel.
